Central Health at Hancock
When it opened in 1964, the former Sears store at Hancock Center became a fixture of the central Austin community. Its closure has left the area empty, with many wondering how the space it left would be used.
The growth of Central Health presents an opportunity to revive this Austin institution. We aim to give this building a renewed purpose by establishing Central Health at Hancock, an administrative headquarters and specialty center. This new location will be a resource the people of Austin can depend on to receive the health care they need.
In time, we believe this building can become more important to the community than ever before by providing healthcare access to those who need it most. Our growth is doing more than filling an empty space—it’s meeting the needs of our community.
